House No. 2-Mead and Barrett Farm

This sizable farm located in the Town of Kent of Farmers Mills Road originally had over 200 acres.  The Mead and Barrett families sold it to Rev. Judson Dykeman in 1846.   After his death, it was conveyed to Henry Hillard and his wife Francis in 1874.   The farm stayed in the Hillard family until 1922 when Elva MacDoherty became its new owner.  The house still retains its Colonial look although she removed the front porch.   The present owners are Micahel Schoeller and Gary Holder.
